According to the Coir Industry (Registration & Licensing) Rules, 1958, specifically Rule No. 17, all exporters of coir and coir goods must be registered with the Coir Board. Only those registered with the Coir Board as exporters of specific coir items under the Coir Industry (R & L) Rules 1958 are permitted to export those items. Export registration is granted separately for Coir Fibre, Coir Yarn, Coir Rope, and Coir Products. Relevant rule extracts are annexed.
